Cooper graduates from infantry training

FT. BENNING, Ga. — U.S. Army Pvt. Anthony Braxton Cooper recently graduated from Army Infantry OSUT (One Station Unit Training) at Ft. Benning in Columbus, Ga.

Army Infantry OSUT is an intensive 14-week program that includes training in military discipline and studies, core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Infantry is the main land combat force and the backbone of the Army, according to a press release. Members of the Infantry possess tremendous discipline and high morale; readiness to accept a challenge and face danger; have an interest in weapons, ground tactics, and remain calm under stressful situations.

Cooper is currently assigned to the 101st Airborne Division at Ft. Campbell. He is the son of Tony and Alisa Cooper of Sumner, Ga., and Amzie Cooper of Hartsfield, Ga.

He is a 2017 graduate of Worth County High School.
