NAMI Night

Due to the Independence Day holiday, the NAMI Night scheduled for Tuesday, July 3, will include only support groups.

The meeting will be 6-7:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Fifth Avenue at Second Street Southeast.

NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and NAMI Night is the Moultrie chapter’s monthly meeting.

Veterans celebration

A veterans celebration will be held Wednesday, July 4, at VFW Post 4830 on Fifth Avenue Southeast. Opening ceremonies will be at 11 a.m. with a barbecue lunch served 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Danny Fallin and his band will perform.

Veterans are invited, and their family and friends are welcome. The post is an alcohol- and smoke-free environment.

Community Cookout

Eastside Baptist Church will host a Community Cookout for the Kids 2-8 p.m. Saturday, July 7, featuring a water slide with fun and games galore. Call 873-1108 for more information.
