MOULTRIE — A Colquitt County man who pleaded guilty this week to choking a girlfriend was back in jail two days later when he was accused of assaulting the same woman. Jonathan Shane Kastelic was arrested Wednesday evening at his 1265 Doc Darbyshire Road address, according to the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office.

“He pleaded guilty on Monday,” sheriff’s Sgt. Ronald Jordan said. “She showed up at the hospital on Wednesday.”

Chelsi Luckie, of the 200 block of Seminole Drive, arrived at about 7 p.m. to Colquitt Regional Medical Center with injuries to the side of her head and her shoulder, Jordan said.

Superior Court Judge James G. Tunison Jr. sentenced Kastelic, 28, to six years’ probation, according to court records. As a condition of his probation, Kastelic was ordered to have “no violent contact” with Luckie.

Wednesday’s accusation would seem to have violated that stipulation.

“She locked the keys in the car, he got mad,” Jordan said. “He choked her out and pushed her head into a wall.”

A man was at the residence and was a witness to the incident, police said.

Kastelic has no prior prison record, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections.
