Jordan Barela/Times-Enterprise TC Federal Bank presented a $1,000 check to the Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society for the annual Coins for Critters fundraiser. 

THOMASVILLE, Ga. — Every piece of spare change collected by youngsters counted for the local humane society. 

Jerger Elementary School students visited with four-legged residents at the Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society Wednesday morning for raising the most in the annual Coins For Critters fundraiser. The school raised $2,334.62. 

“What y’all do for Coins for Critters is very important,” said Gail Roberts, humane society executive director. 

Cross Creek Elementary School raised the second most at $1,490.44.  

TC Federal Bank presented a $1,000 check to the Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society. The bank matched the amount for any school that collected at least $1,000.
