Teen sought in Norman Park burglary

NORMAN PARK, Ga. — Area law enforcement agencies are on the hunt for a teen burglary suspect considered armed and possibly in a truck stolen from the Norman Park residence where a pistol also was taken.
The Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as Levetrius Waters. Waters is accused of stealing clothing, jewelry, cash and a black semi-automatic pistol, possibly a 9 mm.
“Numerous felony arrest warrants have been obtained for 17-year-old Levetrius Waters,” the sheriff’s office said in a Wednesday afternoon news release. “Waters is 5-feet-6-inches in height and weighs approximately 148 pounds. Waters is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone (coming into) contact with Waters use extreme caution.”
Waters also is accused of stealing a 2016 Toyota Tacoma from the same 283 Selena Drive residence in Norman Park. The truck is a gray four-door model, front-end brush guard, bed liner and large off-road tires with license plate RHA4819.
Police asks anyone who has information about Waters’ whereabouts to contact Colquitt County 911 or the sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division at (229) 616-460.
Active warrants for Waters include burglary, theft by taking motor vehicle, possession of a handgun by a person under 18 and simple battery.
