MOULTRIE, Ga. — Shannon Hall’s third grade students use Sunset Elementary School’s new Google Expedition Kit.
Google Expeditions virtual reality (VR) can take students on hundreds of virtual reality trips without ever leaving the classroom, according to a press release from Sunset School. By simply looking through the hand-held viewer, students can swim beneath the ocean with sharks, explore a coral reef or visit the vastness of outer space.
Google Expeditions allow teachers to bring the world into the classroom as students engage with this immersive new technology, the school said. Sunset Elementary School’s Expeditions kit will be an integral resource in the school’s Medical STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) program.
