The ruling came after a two-day hearing into the case in a Valdosta federal courtroom last week.

In 2005, Walker was originally convicted of possession of child pornography and sentenced to serve 10 years in prison, according to court documents.

“In May 2014, he was released on supervised release and the conditions of release were explained to him,” according to the U.S. Attorney’s office. “A petition filed on Nov. 16, 2017, alleged several violations including that on Sept. 20, 2017, Mr. Walker committed the offense of possession of child pornography in Brooks County, Ga., as evidenced by child pornography images recovered from a Samsung cellular telephone (smart phone) found in his possession during a search conducted by the U.S. Probation Office.”

The hearing concluded Walker violated the terms of his supervised release and was in possession of child pornography, according to court officials.

{re case was investigated by U.S. Probation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Julia C. Bowen and Leah E. McEwen prosecuted the case.
