Rant and Rave for May 11, 2018

Landlord police
“In time, a new powerful governmental bureaucracy, the Landlord Police, will emerge employing many government workers to regulate, over regulate and eventually dominate landlords and rental properties and, indirectly, rental prices. It is coming to Moultrie.”
Sunshine
“Sunshine is the best political disinfectant. Democrats hate it.”
A deal, not a treaty
“Obama didn’t have time for treaties, pesky Senate got in his way. So Obama became a dealmaker unto himself. Now Obama’s learning unless Congress passes legislation and the President signs it, everything’s fair game including illegal presidential deals. Obama bragged, ‘I have a phone and pen.’ Trump has your phone and pen now bro.”
Read rental contract
“To the person who wants “equal government.” Huh? What is that? Your peeling paint, what did your landlord say? Peeling paint isn’t an emergency. Painters can be difficult to find and are expensive. Unmowed yard fines are because they’ve not been mowed recently; this means you don’t care about your rental unit which affects nearby property values. Read your contract.”
Tenants
“If tenants wouldn’t tear down and destroy the homes they live in, landlords wouldn’t have such a hard time keeping them up to code. Why spend money on a structure just to have it destroyed. It’s very hard to find a clean and responsible person for an average rental property. Never again!”
Thanks!
“Thank You!!! We were starting to feel left out because our trip to DC hadn’t made the Rant & Rave!”
Response
“Just for the record, Georgia Tech Research, Inc. not only pays it’s own way, but makes a profit of millions of dollars each year for Georgia Tech. The engineers at GTRI earn these large sums of money by being able to solve engineering problems that no one else can. The money spent on the outings was not state funds.”
Confiscation
“To those who say Progressives aren’t about gun confiscation: Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), said ‘we should ban possession of military-style semiautomatic assault weapons.’ The camel’s getting their nose in the tent. Are Swalwell’s security guards unarmed? But at least he’s honest, most Progressives aren’t. My right to self defense is not on loan from government.”
