Mother and Daughter Banquet

Union Missionary Baptist Church, 103 Second St., and its pastor, the Rev. Freddy Williams, will hold their Mother and Daughter Banquet at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 12, in the church social hall.

Speaker will be Yshaka Giant. She is a native of Worth County, where she attends St. Paul Ministries under Apostle Patrick Hosley. She is married to Tim Giant and together they have three children, Tamaz, Jada and Jaden Giant. Her parents are Corneal and Barbara Greene of Worth County.

Yshaka Giant has worked in Moultrie for more than 25 years as a master cosmetologist.

Rec Authority

The Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority will hold an executive session of its Executive Committee at 8:30 a.m. Friday, May 11, at the Recreation Office, 1020 Fourth St. S.W. The meeting is being called for a discussion with the authority’s attorney regarding a lease agreement with the City of Moultrie.

MHS Class of 1955

The Moultrie High School Class of 1955 will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at the Barbeque Pit. Special guest will be Sierra Rain Bullard, the class’s 2018 scholarship recipient.
