Sunset School honors students of the month

MOULTRIE — Sunset Elementary School honored its Students of the Month for March. 

These students were chosen by their teachers to receive this honor, which is part of the school’s character education program led by counselor Patience Hicks. Each month a word is chosen as the character education word of the month. The March word of the month was respect for self. These students feel good about themselves and exhibit it by taking pride in their work, using self-control, and doing their best at all times, the school said.

An ice cream party was given on their behalf in April for exhibiting such good behavior. Each student will also receive a certificate and a gift bag, which will include a special cup with the words, “Sunset Elementary School Student of the Month” inscribed on it, along with a pencil.
