Senior consultant Elizabeth Runkle of the Georgia Center for Nonprofits will be the presenter.

Runkle possesses a unique background in generating and implementing innovative breakthrough ideas within the social sector, the United Way said in a press release. She holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business; and her areas of expertise include board development, social enterprise development, strategic planning, market research, technology systems, collective impact and several other areas.

“In today’s complex economic environment, nonprofit organizations must have successful marketing strategies that make them stand out in a crowd of programs competing for funding,” the press release said. “Participants will be presented with marketing essentials that will help them develop marketing strategies that enhance the bottom line and strengthen the mission of the organization. This course will include information on how to segment participants, donors and volunteers and create marketing strategies to meet target markets. Participants will also learn how engage their board and volunteers in marketing strategies. During the course, participants will receive tools to help them translate the concepts from the course into action within their organization.”
