Hightower
“Jim Hightower’s column in Sunday’s paper accused the Koch brothers of “whacking our voting rights”. I’ve been voting for decades, but don’t remember my voting rights ever getting “whacked”. One dictionary defined whacked as being killed, hit or hungover, another says exhausted or tired out. Now liberals are whining about whacked voting rights. Is he on some cheap medication?”
Gun photo
“Everyone showing there business on Facebook, have you no pride? Seen the picture of man bragging with his group of men with assault guns. And, you think this is macho? I hope that law enforcement puts a watch on everyone in the picture. Have you no shame?”
Negativity
“I would really like to know what beef the Observer has with the CCBOE. Everything they choose to print is very negative towards the schools and administration. Can we please get some good news about our schools? Just wondering.”
Venezuela
“Venezuela, that shining example of socialist utopian success. Bernie Sanders’ ideas are being utilized in real time. In the 1950s, Venezuela was the most successful economy in South America and had per capita GDP among the top 10 in the world. Today, almost 90% of its inhabitants are below the poverty line. Who wouldn’t want that?”
Question
“At what point do the obligations on American’s paychecks (taxes) so far exceed this country’s ability to repay its’ debt that America finally says our compassion for illegals looking for a handout is finished?”
Census survey
“I got a 28 page 2018 Census ‘Community Survey’ in the mail. 28 PAGES!!! Wonder how many illegals filled out their 28 pages? In it, the Census Bureau asked a lot of very personal questions they had no business asking. And it said, ‘you are required by U.S. law to respond.’ Just threaten me.”
Field trip
“Regarding the recent 5th grade field trips to DC, I was surprised to notice that chaperones were wearing and seemingly encouraging the purchase of MAGA apparel when representing the public school system. In the non-partisan spirit, were the young and impressionable children allowed to purchase ‘I’m with Her’ apparel as well?”
