TIFTON, Ga. — Turner’s Furniture has grown over the last century since starting as a “mom and pop” hardware store in Pelham in 1915. Now, the fourth generation, family-owned and operated furniture business is growing again.
Co-owners and brothers Fortson and Austin Turner have announced plans for expansion, opening the doors to an 11th store location in Warner Robins on the corner of Highway 96 and Houston Lake Road this summer.
“We are excited about the new expansion plans” said Fortson Turner. “And we really appreciate the support of our local customers and community. We’ve been fortunate to be headquartered in Tifton, Georgia for the last 15 years.”
Due to the expansion, Turner’s Distribution Center in Tifton will be hiring. This Friday and Saturday, April 27-28, there will be open interviews from 3 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Anyone interested in a job opportunity in warehouse and delivery can stop by Turner’s Distribution Center at 375 Oakridge Church Road in Tifton during the allotted times.
