Okapilco perfect attendance winner

MOULTRIE, Ga. — Okapilco Elementary School second grade student Karime Mendez-Campos, shown with her parents, Gilmar Mendez and Tersa Campos, was the winner of the Perfect Attendance bicycle and helmet for the third quarter of school.
Karime was recognized for her responsibility to be present at school each day during the third quarter of school and having 3 or less tardies. The names of all students who met these criteria were placed in the drawing and Karime was the winner.
Tonja Merritt, Okapilco’s social worker, has worked closely with parents, staff, and the Moultrie Wendy’s to encourage students to be responsible to be at school each day and on time. Moultrie’s Wendy’s Hamburgers, represented by Region Manager Jennifer Scarberry, donated the bicycle and helmet.
