MOULTRIE, Ga. — A teen-ager who landed her car on top of a restaurant’s trash receptacle on April 7 has been charged in the accident.
Hannah Dawn Hartsfield, 18, 288 Cobblestone Blvd., was booked Wednesday on charges of driving under the influence and seat belt violation, according to Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office arrest reports.
The charges were filed by the Georgia State Patrol, which investigated the accident.
Hartsfield was driving south at about 6 a.m. on Doc Darbyshire Road when her 2011 Chevrolet Camaro crossed the center line into the north lane and continued into the east ditch, GSP reports said. After the undercarriage struck the ditch the car went airborne and over an access road.
The car struck the trash receptacle and a block while in the air, the reports said, and came to rest on top of them.
