Moultrie flower pot bandit strikes again

MOULTRIE, Ga. — For the second time in a week a flower pot bandit has struck at a Moultrie residence.
Moultrie police were dispatched at 11 p.m. Wednesday to the residence of Maria Perez in the 300 block of 10th Street Southeast.
Perez told police that she heard something outside and when she looked out a window saw a car in the driveway. Thinking it was a visitor, she turned on the porch light.
At that time she saw a man around 22 years old. When she opened the door he got into a black Chevrolet HHR and left.
She then noticed that two flower pots were missing
On Saturday a woman in the 900 block of Fourth Avenue Northeast reported the theft of five potted plants from outside her residence.
In other thefts
Moultrie Police
• Ian Enoch, 700 block 13th Street Southwest, reported Wednesday the theft of the car keys from his 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipsed.
Police were dispatched initially at 1:37 a.m. to a report of someone knocking on Enoch’s door.
The officer saw a woman walking away from 13th Street and stopped to speak with her. The woman admitted that she had been knocking on Enoch’s door because she wanted to talk to him.
Enoch told police that he did not want the woman at his residence.
At 2:13 a.m. police returned, at which time he reported that the keys were missing from the car.
When police spoke with the woman she denied taking the keys but said that she did blow his car horn to get his attention.

• Alton Cannon, 200 block Third Street Northwest, reported Wednesday the theft of a television, Xbox 360 and a pair of hair clippers with a total value of $1,219.
Arrests
Moultrie Police
• Debra Ann Villareal, 35, 1010 Sixth St. S.E., was charged Wednesday with criminal trespass.
Villareal is accused of returning to Wal-Mart property after being served with papers telling her not to return.
Sheriff’s Office
• Anthony Denard Green, 30 125 Sixth St. S.W., was charged Wednesday with failure to appear.

Trespassing
Moultrie Police
• Ana Leyva Rodriguez reported Wednesday that a woman carrying a large stick walked into her grandparents’ residence in the 1000 block of 15th Street Southeast at about 6 p.m.
The woman exited the home and walked away heading east after the family told her to leave.
