Man charged with prowling outside county 911 center

MOULTRIE, Ga. — It’s relatively difficult to make a dentist’s appointment at 7:30 a.m. on a Saturday. It’s even tougher if the person trying to make an appointment is not at a dentist’s office but rather in the parking lot of the Colquitt County 911 Center.
Police were not buying the suspect’s claim and arrested the 22-year-old man when they arrived at the 160 Veterans Parkway N. facility, which is practically within a stone’s throw of the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office.
Police were dispatched to the 911 building at about 7:37 a.m. Saturday.
Alden Robert Bartlett was charged with loitering and prowling. He reportedly told employees at the 911 facility that he was trying to make a dentist’s appointment.
