UPDATE: Hahira man killed in train accident

CECIL — A Lowndes County man was killed early Wednesday when he was hit by a train in Cook County, according to authorities
The crash happened around 1:25 a.m. near Cecil, according to a statement from the Georgia State Patrol. A Norfolk Southern freight train with four locomotives and 35 rail cars was traveling north, according to Susan Turpay, a spokeswoman for the railway.
Meanwhile, a pedestrian was walking north on the tracks, failed to yield and was hit by the train, the state patrol said.
The pedestrian, Anthony Harold Miller, 29, of Hahira, was fatally injured, according to the patrol.
