G.E.A.R. celebrates Arbor Day

MOULTRIE, Ga. — G.E.A.R. (Gifted Education Academic Rigor) celebrated Arbor Day by planting a red Japanese maple tree donated by the Magnolia Garden Club on the school campus.
All students were present as the student Ambassadors welcomed and introduced guests from the City of Moultrie, Fire Department, Georgia Forestry Commission with Smokey Bear, Katrina McIntosh, Magnolia Garden Club, Eric Foster-Whiddon, and parents.
Clay Reynolds, student Ambassador, read a poem about Arbor Day.
Representatives from the guests present along with the Student Ambassadors took part in planting the tree.
