Brian Kemp campaigns in Norman Park

NORMAN PARK, Ga. — With two-term Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal term-limited out of office next year, several high-powered Republicans are seeking to succeed him, including Secretary of State Brian Kemp.

On Tuesday, Kemp brought his statewide bus tour to a stop in Norman Park to meet with supporters and undecided voters.

During the event at Lauri Jo’s Southern Style Canning Kemp touted his qualifications that include running a private business and upgrading technology and voting systems in his current job.

The candidate filing deadline is March 9 for the May 22 primary election.
