MOULTRIE, Ga. — Earlier this year, Okapilco fourth-grade students and teachers decided to be givers and support our local Colquitt County Food Bank. Under the direction of the fourth-grade teachers Katie DeKalb, Lisa Chambers and Melody Sellers, the fourth-grade students organized a school-wide canned food collection.
For several weeks, the entire Okapilco student body including all staff members helped by donating various canned goods, peanut butter and non-perishable items. Each grade level at Okapilco has committed to supporting various needs or causes as part of Community Service Projects.
