MOULTRIE, Ga. — A woman was charged with drug offenses after a search of a residence on Third Avenue Southeast Feb. 9.
Courtney Carter, 29, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug-related objects and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. The incident report gave Carter’s address as Brandi Drive, but the booking report at the Colquitt County Jail lists it as 1406 Third Ave. S.E., the house where the arrest took place.
Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office investigators responded to an anonymous complaint of drug and prostitution offenses taking place in the 1400 block of Third Avenue Southeast. Carter and three other people on scene gave consent for the officers to search the residence. Investigators found methamphetamine, marijuana and drug-related objects in Carter’s possession, the report said.
Carter had one of her children in the home and was supervising two children belonging to someone else at the time, the sheriff’s office report said. Those children were turned over to the Department of Family and Children Services.
The other three people on scene were not charged, the report said.
