Head Start fair

The Southwest Georgia Community Action Council’s Head Start and Early Head Start Program will hold a Parent Health and Community Resource Fair 10 a.m.-noon Friday, Feb. 9, at the CAC’s auditorium, 912 First Ave. S.E. in Moultrie.

Parents and families can identify and obtain community resources and support systems at the fair, according to a press release from the CAC.

Black history celebration

The Bethlehem Schley Baptist Church, 1001 McElroy Road, will celebrate Black History Month at 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 11. Members and visitors are encouraged to wear African-inspired attire. The pastor is the Rev. J.W. Greene Jr.

Pastor’s anniversary

Macedonia Baptist Church will celebrate its pastor’s fourth anniversary at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Feb. 8 and 9, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11.

Speaker on Thursday will be the Rev. Alfred Jones with Friendship Baptist Church; on Friday will be the Rev. Pernell Adams with St. James Free Will Baptist Church; and on Sunday will be Bishop Archie Skipper with White Rock Baptist Church.
