FFA members heading to state competition

MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Colquitt County High School FFA Chapter has two teams and one individual that have advanced to compete at FFA State CDE Day at Fort Valley State University on Feb. 9 and 10. These students have spent the last months practicing and preparing for there designed Career Development Events competitions.
Victoria Barber, Patti Mitchell, and Mitchell Riley will compete in the Ag Marketing CDE competition. They will present a 15-minute presentation about a service developed by the team for a local agribusiness in Colquitt County. They will also have a 5-minute question round following the presentation.
Each member of the Ag Sales team will attempt to sell a product that was given to them prior to the competition to a judge and will also take a 25-question multiple-choice test. Team members include Presley Hamilton, Kaitlyn Hart, Logan Moore, and Mary Logan Tostenson.
Kirk Beacham will compete in the Lawnmower Operations and Maintenance CDE. He will complete a written exam, a problem solving activity and demonstrate lawnmower maintenance and driving skills.
