Armed men rob Moultrie store

MOULTRIE, Ga. — A trio of robbers armed with handguns struck on Sunday night at a  Sunset Plaza discount retail store.

Moultrie police were dispatched at about 9:56 p.m. to the 2411 South Main St. Dollar General.

“About 9:40 p.m. three black males entered the business and robbed them,” police Lt. Freddie Williams said. “All of them had guns.”

The robbers all had their faces covered to disguise their identities, he said. The store gave them an undisclosed amount of money.

The robbers ran from the store and left in an unknown direction. No one was injured.

Police ask that anyone with information call the tip line at (229) 890-549. Callers may remain confidential, Williams said.

A second robbery from Jan. 22 also remains under investigation. Two males entered the Super C No. 2 at 1406 West Bypass and demanded money.

They got an undisclosed amount of cash.

• Dai Quang Le, 42, 371 James King Road, Doerun, was charged Friday with no insurance and driving while tag suspended.

• Miguel Angel Robles, 30, 12 Sylvester Court, was charged Saturday with improper passing and driving without license.

• Robert Lee Williams, 56, 622 Second Ave. N.E., was charged Thursday with failure to appear.

• Anthony Heath Mock, 42, 117 Lonesome Pine Trail, was charged Thursday with failure to appear.

• Angline Denise Birdine, 38, 206 1/2 Gay Ave., Sparks, was charged Friday with speeding and driving while license withdrawn.

• Kevin Britt Harrison, 46, 310 East Gate Drive, Norman Park, was charged Thursday with simple battery.

• Jesus Jimenez, 49, 392 Livingston Bridge Road, Norman Park, was charged Thursday with driving without license and failure to maintain single lane.

Moultrie Police

• Ronald Manuel Artica, 1124 South Blvd., was charged Jan 23 with obstruction of a police officer, possession of a drug-related object, possession of methamphetamine and three counts forgery.

• Quinton Tyrell Debruce, 20, 400 Old Doerun Road, was charged Friday with disorderly conduct.

Police arrested Debruce while investigating a reported domestic disturbance in the 1700 block of Dean Lane.

Quatesha Williams, 19, and a witness told police that Debruce entered her bedroom, yelled at her and hit her in the face.

Quatesha Williams had no visible injuries, police said.

• Johnny Paul Johnson, 44, 329 Dunn Road, was charged Saturday with following too closely, leaving scene of accident and driving while license withdrawn.

• Austen Rashad McNeal, 68 Regency Village Drive, was charged Saturday with seat belt violation and driving without license.

• Juan Perez, 57, 1591 Hwy. 33, was charged Friday with driving while license withdrawn and brake lights and turn signals required.

• Robert Ellerman Wale, 47, 1215 Ridge Ave. N., Tifton, was charged Saturday with theft by shoplifting.

Police arrested Wale after Wal-Mart, 641 Veterans Parkway S., reported that a man, identified as Wale by a store employee, was detained outside the store with a shopping cart filled with $251 worth of merchandise.

• Scott Thomas Watson, 50, 400 31st Ave. S.E., was charged Friday with theft by shoplifting.

• Jesus Hernandez, 36,  9330 Overlook Drive, was charged Wednesday with disorderly conduct.

Georgia State Patrol

• Mariza Calvario, 32, 310 Yogi Bear Road, Norman Park, was charged Saturday with driving under the influence, failure to obey stop sign and driving without license.

Thefts

Moultrie Police

• Gasma Haynes, 400 block Third Avenue Northwest, reported Sunday the theft of an Apple iPhone SE valued at $200.

• Tabitha Johnson, 29, Albany, reported Sunday the theft of a 2002 Nissan Altima.

Johnson told police that she had left the car, valued at $2,000, at a location in Moultrie to sell it. When she checked on it, it was gone.

• Shanteria Williams, Moultrie, reported Saturday the theft of a pair of Beats headphones valued at $249.

Williams told police that a student at C.A. Gray Middle School took the headphones from her son in the school locker room.

• Audrey Hancock, 2400 block Fifth Street Southeast, reported Friday the theft of a 32-inch flat screen television, an HP laptop computer and a tablet computer with a total value of $1,250.

Hancock told police that a male relative stole the property.

On Sunday Hancock called police again to report that her car had been stolen overnight.

• Knight’s Electric, 105 Circle Road, reported Saturday the theft of a 2010 Ford F-150 truck valued at $10,000.
