Thomasville, Cairo observe MLK Day

- The MLK Humanitarian Walk had numerous participants Saturday, including newly-seated Thomasville City Council member Todd Mobley, second from left.
Both the City of Roses and the Syrup City observed Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The eighth annual MLK Humanitarian Walk and Festival was conducted Saturday in Thomasville. The walk began at Restoration Tabernacle Ministries. Following the walk, awards were presented.
The annual MLK Jr. Day parade made its way through downtown Cairo on Monday morning. The parade is hosted by the MLK Collaborative of Grady County each year.
