Hard Freeze Warning in effect Thursday night

TIFTON — A Hard Freeze Warning will be in effect for Tift County Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service.
The watch warns of temperatures near 20 degrees.
“A prolonged period of sub-freezing temperatures will be a danger for pets, livestock and sensitive vegetation,” the release states. “Exposed water pipes will be at risk of freezing and possibly bursting.”
Along with Tift County, Baker, Ben Hill, Calhoun, Clay, Colquitt, Decatur, Dougherty, Early, Grady, Irwin, Lee, Miller, Mitchell, Quitman, Randolph, Seminole, Terrell, Thomas, Turner and Worth counties are also listed in the Hard Freeze Warning.
