‘Very little’ ice reported in Grady

The winter wonderland did not cross over the Thomas County line into Grady County, according to the county’s top emergency official. 

Instances of ice were reported in Grady County’s southeast corner toward Thomasville, according to Richard Phillips, Grady County Emergency Management Agency director.

“We had a little bit of ice on the bridges, but other than that, we’ve been fine,” Phillips said. 

Phillips also noted the amount of ice was “very little” in the county’s southeastern area. 

No accidents have been reported in Grady County, according to Phillips.  

According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday saw a chance for freezing rain and sleet before 11 a.m., with a chance of rain and snow following until 1 p.m. in Grady County. The total daytime snow and sleet accumulation was projected at less than half inch.
