JENNINGS, Fla. — An inquiry has begun into two Jennings police officers accused of raping a woman last week.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has done an initial inquiry into the charges against the two officers.

An FDLE spokesperson said the information gathered during the inquiry will determine whether it will or will not open an investigation.

According to Jennings Police Chief Vincent Robinson, the two officers are no longer part of the department. Robinson declined to name the officers.

Robinson said the FDLE and Hamilton County Sheriff Hamilton Reid are investigating the charges.
