Students cheer Packers on way to championship game

- Students and faculty at Okapilco Elementary School cheered the Colquitt County High School Packers last Thursday, Dec. 7, as the team left for the state championship game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Weather postponed that game after the local team arrived, and now the Pack is headed back to the Atlanta area to play the game against the North Gwinnett Bulldogs on North Gwinnett’s home field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:38 p.m. today. Among the crowd shown above is Okapilco kindergarten teacher Sandy Fitzgerald, mother of Packer kicker Ryan Fitzgerald.
