Scammers

“I get those alleged IRS calls a lot. I just hang up. But I like the idea of playing games with them as Mr. Walden mentioned in his column. What I would really like to see is those scammers arrested and sent to prison.

Still falling for it

“About those scammers: People who fall for this crap deserve what they get … the elderly not included.  How many times have we been warned about the IRS scam and the lottery scams? It’s simple flim-flam. It’s been around forever. I can’t believe people still fall for this junk.

Little train

Responsibility

“Please accept responsibility for your pets. If they roam and get hit on the streets, don’t try to lay a guilt trip on the driver. These pets aren’t hit on purpose but I’m not going to risk having a wreck and injuring myself or someone else if a pet runs out in front of me. If I can reasonably avoid it, I will. I can understand the grief when one loses a pet. But again, accept the responsibility for these animals.

A positive

“I would see it as a positive to have a police vehicle parked at an apartment complex. It might cause some of these thugs to think twice before committing a crime at that location.

Dump it

“I agree, dump the G.A.T.E. card. I have no clear understanding for it ever being implemented. In my business, I have to pay taxes on my equipment when I buy it. I don’t have a ‘get out of jail free’ card.

“Great article about Hispanic community crime reporting. It illustrates the real-world consequences of our political rhetoric; why would anyone willingly contact police if they don’t trust the system to not punish them as well?
