TIFTON — The Tifton Fire Department responded to 68 incident calls during the month of October in Tifton.

Tifton Fire Chief Bobby Bennett said that firefighters responded to one structure fire, three grass or rubbish fires and three dumpster or trash fires.

They responded to 23 vehicle accidents and one vehicle fire.

Additionally, Bennett said firefighters responded to two hazardous conditions calls, 24 other fires and 11 false alarms.
