Mullings was transported to Shands Live Oak Regional Medical Center and then UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville in critical condition, according to the report.

Driver Abayomi Maddox, a 19-year-old from Tallahassee, and passengers Devontay Smathers, 20, and Vincent Simon, 19, both from Tallahassee as well, sustained just minor injuries in the crash. All three were wearing seatbelts.

The crash remains under investigation, according to FHP, including the role, if any, alcohol played in the accident.
