MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Pelham man, who tussled with a deputy sheriff investigating a Sunday domestic dispute, was arrested on an obstruction charge.
When the officer arrived at about 2:20 p.m. to the Meigs residence in the 900 block of Glynn Willis Road, he learned David Lee Bentley was wanted in Thomas County on a probation violation warrant.
The officer told Bentley that he was under arrest, police said, and when the officer tried to handcuff him he resisted.
During the struggle part of a wall was damaged, a window was broken and a picture frame was broken.
Bentley, 39, 1429 Spence Road, was charged Sunday with willful obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
