Time is running out for a dilapidated house on South Main Street. According to statements in Tuesday’s Moultrie City Council work session, Dr. Lynn Lyons, the owner of the house, signed an agreement months ago to have the house ‘dried in’ by Nov. 13 — which is Monday. This photo, taken Wednesday, shows he has a long way to go. Failure to comply will result in a fine of more than $100,000, officials said, and the city will move forward with efforts to foreclose on the property and tear down the house, which once belonged to prominent businessman Matt Friedlander.
