Man charged after early-morning tirade

MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Colquitt County man who was found on the ground Friday morning when police and emergency personnel arrived recovered enough to scream vulgarities, stand up unsteadily, urinate and, oh yeah, go to jail.
When police arrived about 12:48 a.m., a group of people was standing around the man, identified as Benjamin Albert Allen, at 125 First St. S.E.
When EMTs got to the scene, police said, Allen began getting “agitated and aggressive,” started using vulgarities, and had slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet.
An officer offered to give Allen a ride home if he gave an address, to which he responded with a vulgar phrase. Allen then exposed himself and urinated in public, at which time police arrested him.
Allen, 30, 2315 Old Albany Road, was charged with public indecency and disorderly conduct.
