Oak Grove plans homecoming

MOULTRIE, Ga. — Oak Grove Baptist Church will have homecoming services on Sunday, Oct. 29. Sunday school begins at 9:45 a.m. and worship service is at 11, followed by lunch in the social hall.
The guest speaker will be Brad Knox, and the guest musicians will be Richard Edwards and Jana Duncan Ogden.

Knox attended Oak Grove as a child and attended Colquitt County Schools. He received his Bachelor of Science, Master’s of Education, and Doctor of Education from Valdosta Sate University. He is currently a history teacher at Lowndes County High School as well as an adjunct professor with the University of West Alabama and Colorado Christian University.
He is the recipient of the Outstanding Faculty for the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences in the College of Adult and Graduate Programs award from Colorado Christian University. He was also named faculty marshall for the school’s spring commencement.
He is currently competing coursework form the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in the areas of philosophy and Christian worldview studies.
Knox, his wife, Laura, and children, Nathan, Joshua and Korie Mae are active members at CrossPointe Church in Valdosta.
