Fired employee charged after disturbance at plant

MOULTRIE, Ga. — An Albany man was arrested after he was reported to be making a scene at a Moultrie meat processing plant from which he had just been fired.

Kenzel Tremaine Jamison, 23, 333 S. Mock St., Albany, was charged Monday with disorderly conduct.

Police arrested Jamison after police responded to a call of an unruly employee at Sanderson Farms, 700 Highway 133 S.

An employee asked police to serve Jamison with a trespass notice warning him that he will be arrested if he returns to the property.

Shakaunda Lake told police that Jamison grabbed her jacket and threatened to fight her after Jamison was fired.

After he was escorted outside, employees told police, Jamison refused to leave and was “making a scene” until the time police arrived.

• Willie James Williams, 58,181 N.W. Franklin St., Lake City, Fla., was charged Friday with criminal trespass.

• Desmond Bernard Bell, 33, 513 Second Ave. N.W., was charged Oct. 1 with battery and giving false information or false name to police officer.

Sheriff’s Office

• John Thomas Hitt, 58, 217 New River Blvd., Tifton, was charged Monday with failure to appear.

• Micajah Bennett Roberts, 39, 138 Bear Creek Road, Norman Park, was charged Friday with theft by taking.

• Steven Lindsey, 17, 311 W. Bethel Ave., was charged Thursday with disorderly conduct.

• Takeviuas Pounds, 24, 218 Eastview, Gray, Ga., was charged Oct. 14 with fictitious checks.

• Mary Lee Starnes, 36, 330 S. Railroad St., Norman Park.

Battery

Moultrie Police

• Jahnai Lane, 18, Moultrie, reported Monday that a female acquaintance punched her in the head from behind in the 900 block of 11th Street Northwest near C.A. Gray Junior High School.

Lane, who had swelling to the side of her face and told police that her foot was injured, was transported to Colquitt Regional Medical Center for treatment, police said.

Sheriff’s Office

• Deborah Barefield, 1000 block Madison Ave., Tifton, reported Tuesday a fight between Juan Salazar and Kandice Delbridge, who called police, at their residence in the 6100 block of U.S. Highway 319 North, Omega.

No arrests were made.

Property damage

Moultrie Police

• Stephanie Jones, 43, Morven, reported Monday that a driver struck her 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer at a business in the 1200 block of Highway 133 S.

Jones told police that the other driver drove away in the truck.                                                                                      

Other investigations

Sheriff’s Office

• Kevin Tucker, 200 block Veterans Parkway North, reported Monday seeing a man he recognized walking away from a truck he wrecked in the 500 block of Rosencrantz Road.

A deputy was unable to find the driver.

The officer found several single-serving liquor bottles in the bed of the truck.
