THOMASVILLE — A man has refused to tell police who stabbed him, then ran over him with a vehicle, early Saturday morning.
City police responded at 3:15 a.m. Saturday to an apartment complex in the 600 block of East Washington Street and found the victim, who was wearing a bloody T-shirt.
According to a Thomasville Police Department (TPD) incident report, the victim said a vehicle arrived at the scene, a man got out, and an altercation ensued.
The victim said he was stabbed and lying on the ground when his attacker got into a vehicle, ran over him, then left the scene.
The injured man, who was stabbed in his chest and on an elbow, suffered a punctured lung in the attack, said Capt. Maurice Homes, TPD Criminal Investigations Division commander.
The victim was taken to Archbold Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
“He refused to give the identity of the person he was in an altercation with or the vehicle description, make or model of the vehicle he said ran over him,” Holmes said.
The commander said detectives will follow up with the injured man.
“We’ll see if he’ll be more cooperative on our next encounter,” Holmes said.
