Boy charged with having knife at school

MOULTRIE, Ga. — A 14-year-old student was arrested on Thursday after school officials reported that he had a knife on a Colquitt County Schools campus.
The principal at Colquitt County Achievement Center, located at the former high school campus at 1800 Park Ave., reported the weapon to police. He reportedly found the knife on the student at about noon.
The boy was charged with possession of a weapon at school. He was placed in a state youth detention center.

Sheriff’s Office
• April Lynn Cox, 33, 127 S. Manning St., was charged Wednesday with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug-related objects.
Police arrested Cox after a deputy responded to a report of a truck stuck in a field at about 4 p.m. in the 600 block of Sam Rentz Road.
During the investigation, police reported finding one cigarette rolled with suspected marijuana, a pink coin purse containing suspected marijuana, a smoking pipe, a needle and a plastic wrapper containing suspected methamphetamine.
• Elizabeth Ann Boatwright, 56, 521 Fourth Court N.W., was charged Wednesday with obtaining or attempting to obtain dangerous drugs by fraud.
• Sha-Lee Vinson, 21, 2308 Sylvester Drive, was charged Oct. 8 with use of fighting words, simple battery and cruelty to children.
Moultrie Police
• Martha Veronica Dominguez-Garcia, 39, 105 Bonnie Tuk Road, was charged Thursday with driving without license and unsafe operation of radio or telephone.
Probation violation
• Tyler Lee Cook, 334 W. Broad St., Doerun.
