The irony

“Do you see the irony here? Farmers protest ICE picking up illegals. Farmers for the most part are Republicans. Republicans want to send illegals back to Mexico.  It’s that old ox in the ditch thing. Politics are entertaining.

I don’t agree

“I hear a fellow say he would not watch the NFL anymore, that he would watch college football. He said the NFL is going away. Well I don’t agree. If there is no NFL, college football would also diminish. A lot of those college players are hoping to play in the NFL. Keep in mind that the NFL doesn’t have a farm league like baseball.

Not fans anyway

“My guess is that most of the few who said they were finished with the NFL were not football fans to begin with. The issue just gave them a chance to mouth off.

Why hide?

“Regarding the article about the ICE arrests in Thursday’s Observer. Why do the Hispanics go into hiding when ICE is in the area if they are here legally?

Economics

“Before you start praising an effort to remove the migrants, you might want to consider that almost one third of our farm income relates to vegetable production. That industry is labor intensive and most crops are volatile in that they must meet a marketing window and have a dependable work force ready to harvest. Study the issue a little closer. You don’t have to an economics professor to see how this would impact our community.

Their legacy

“Legislators can balance the budget. But nope. They can fix the tax system. Nope. They can eradicate Obamacare. Nope. Rid the country of illegals. Nope. Stop the unfair trade practices. Nope. Get us out of foreign wars. Nope. Fix education. Nope. They can do anything. Nope. Nothing is happening. Nor will it. McConnell and Ryan’s legacy is building.

Any proof?

Shameful

“Well the NFL may learn very quickly that they need us, we do not need them. To have multi millionaire football players taking a knee and disrespecting America instead of standing proudly when our anthem is played is just shameful. So what has the NFL done lately to earn respect?
