UPDATE: Police: Surveillance video shows boy taking dog

MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Colquitt County woman’s surveillance showed a boy taking her dog on Wednesday after he had been there recently asking about the puppy.

Kelsey Lane, of the 100 block of Brandi Drive, told police that the video showed the boy enter her yard and take her 6-month-old female, tan Chihuahua.

The boy was 10 to 12 years old, Lane estimated. He had been at her residence a day or two before the dog disappeared expressing admiration for the Chihuahua and asking about it, Lane reported.

In other thefts

Sheriff’s Office

• Pete Rowland 4000 block Cool Springs Road, Norman Park, reported Wednesday the theft of an automobile battery, bench grinder, two electric drills and an impact wrench with a total value of $500.

Moultrie Police

• The City of Moultrie reported that a stolen electric meter was being used at a residence in the 100 block of Sixth Street Southwest.

A city employee told police that the meter alerted that it was in use at that location.

Police made one arrest on a charge of theft of services, but details were not immediately available.

Sheriff’s Office

• Anibal Bamaca, 30, 715 Sardis Church Road, was charged Wednesday with driving without license, seat belt violation and littering.

Georgia State Patrol

• Christopher Brandon Hall, 25, 163 Grass Farm Road, Omega, was charged Wednesday with reckless driving.

Fraud

Moultrie Police

• Christopher Jordan, 1300 block Hallmark Drive, reported Wednesday an incident of financial transaction card fraud.

• Sandra Jordan, 49, Moultrie, reported Wednesday that her telephone number was being used on a charge account in someone else’s name.

Jordan also told police that her driver’s license is missing and that she believes it was stolen.

Property damage

Moultrie Police

• Charles Carter, 3100 block Veterans Parkway South, reported Wednesday that an ex-girlfriend cut six of his shirts, cut the tongue out of his Nike shoes and also cut the hose of his CPAP machine.

Carter told police that the value of the shirts and shoes was a total of $300. He did not know the cost to replace the medical hose.

A witness told police that he saw the woman cutting Carter’s belongings with a pair of scissors.

Carter said he intended to seek an arrest warrant through Colquitt County Magistrate Court.
