Second time not the charm for loud music complaint

MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Norman Park man who turned his music down when police asked him to decided to rock out after the officer left, resulting in two officers returning and arresting him.

At about 3:36 a.m. on Sept. 17, a Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a report of loud music in the vicinity of Hilltop Drive. He found the source of the music at 281 Honey Bear Road and spoke with the owner, Samuel Cruz, who turned the volume down as requested.

At 4:26 a.m., police received another complaint and the deputy who responded initially was joined by a second officer.

When they entered Cruz’ yard, police said, Cruz started arguing that the officers were on private property. Cruz “appeared to be very intoxicated,” police said.

Cruz, 44, was arrested and charged with maintaining a disorderly house.

• Terri Lee Anderson, 50, and Casey Dee Anderson, 47, both of 283 Black Acres Road, were each charged Thursday with possession of cocaine.

• Christopher Lee Starnes, 37, 163 Autumn Leaf Drive, Albany, was charged Thursday with two counts burglary.

• Terry Phillip Sauls Jr., 31, 608 Laurel Ave., Adel, was charged Thursday with aggravated stalking.

Moultrie Police

• Susana Alejandra Trejo, 33, 808 N. Cleveland Ave., Adel, was charged Thursday with driving with suspended or revoked license.

Georgia State Patrol

• Talashia Shantae Lamons, 30, 508 Seventh St. S.W., was charged Thursday with driving with suspended or revoked license.

Forgery

Sheriff’s Office

• Douglas Chitty, 1600 block Old Berlin Road, reported Thursday that someone obtained his checking account information and forged and cashed a check in his name in the amount of $375.

Chitty told police that on Sept. 16 someone burglarized his residence and may have obtained his bank information at that time.
