ABAC graduates

TIFTON — Fifty-one students completed their course work and received degrees from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College at the completion of the 2017 summer term. A total of 24 bachelor’s degrees and 27 associate degrees were awarded.

Colquitt County-area students among those graduates include:

Bachelor’s degrees

OMEGA: Marcus D. McDonald, Business and Economic Development, Cum Laude.

Associate degrees

MOULTRIE: Gwenda Hendrick, Associate of Science; and Samantha D. Rogers, Associate of Science.

NORMAN PARK: Ansleigh E. Lindsey, Associate of Science.

VSU Dean’s List

VALDOSTA — Valdosta State University recently announced that nearly 200 students earned a spot on its Summer 2017 Dean’s List.

Students who achieve a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on nine or more semester hours with an institutional grade point average of 3.00 or higher are recognized by being placed on the Dean’s List. Developmental studies, transients, and graduate students are not eligible for Dean’s List status.

Local students on the list include:
