THOMASVILLE — The bandit who allegedly robbed two McDonald’s employees at midnight Tuesday obviously was not interested in Big Macs, Quarter Pounders or Chicken McNuggets.

The bandana-wearing, armed, stickup man got away with a bank bag of cash and personal items belonging to two employees, according to reports.

Th employee carrying the bank bag told police the robber, brandishing a small, black, semiautomatic pistol, emerged from behind a trash bin at the 1680 E. Jackson St. eatery.

The man demanded that employees drop all items in their hands, according to a Thomasville Police Department incident report.

The victim in possession of the night deposit bag dropped the bag, while the second employee dropped her wallet, keys and cell phone to the ground.

The suspect gathered items from the ground, including the bank bag and the second employee’s cell phone, wallet and house keys before fleeing east toward the Days Inn rear parking lot.

The first employee retrieved her cell phone and called law enforcement.
