SRWMD lands closing today due to Irma

LIVE OAK — Beginning at 5 p.m. today, all Suwannee River Water Management District lands will be closed due to inclement weather from Hurricane Irma. Sites will remain closed until further notice.
The district has signed an emergency order initiating emergency operations in response to an executive order released by Governor Rick Scott on Monday due to weather conditions caused by Hurricane Irma. The order grants the district authority to execute land and office closures, open water control structures, assist local governments with storm preparation and administer other emergency duties.
