Norman Park agencies collect for storm victims

NORMAN PARK, Ga. — The Norman Park fire and police departments will accept monetary donations to assist first responders in the Houston area left homeless as a result of Hurricane Harvey and the flooding that followed.
Donations will be accepted through Friday, Sept. 8, at Norman Park City Hall. Donations may also be dropped off at the Norman Park Fire Station between 7 and 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5.

Please make checks payable to the Norman Park Volunteer Fire Department, earmarked for Texas Relief.
“Due to logistics with delivery, we will be unable to accept relief supplies,” a press release from the police department said.
“In addition to us, our colleagues in Texas have expressed sincere thanks for your assistance during this time of need,” the release said.
