MOULTRIE, Ga. — First Baptist Church will host a free movie night featuring the movie “Voiceless,” with a love offering after the movie to support Hope House.

The event will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at the church, 400 S. Main St.

“Voiceless” is based on the story of one man’s call to stand against abortion and bring aid to pregnant women in crisis within his city, said an email from church pastor, the Rev. Wayne Woods.

“It has been rated PG13 due to subject matter so parents please be advised if you decide to bring your students to see it,” Woods’ email read. “We are hoping and praying that many of our sister churches in the area would see this opportunity as a vital one for their congregation and join us!

“Hope House is one of the great ministry successes in our community and is always looking to improve their outreach to and care for the most vulnerable among us,” Woods wrote.

Currently Hope House — a crisis pregnancy center launched here in 1989 — is working to raise $55,000 needed to complete a medical conversion that will add the staff and equipment to be able to offer free ultrasound testing to those they serve, the email read.

At the conclusion of “Voiceless” (1 hour 45 minutes) the church will take a love offering that will go entirely to support the current need at Hope House, Woods wrote.
