4 Colquitt Countians attend FFA leadership conference

MOULTRIE, Ga. — Over the summer four Colquitt County FFA members participated in the Washington Leadership Conference held in Washington, D.C.
Victoria Barber, Mary Grace Harbin, Kaitlyn Hart and Logan Moore attended the week-long conference that focused on leadership and communication skills. The national conference was held by the National FFA Organization allowing students from all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands to attend — including 45 from Georgia.

During this week students developed a Living to Serve plan that brought awareness to an issue in their hometown communities. They also not only had the opportunity to expand on their leadership skills but they were given the chance to make friends from different states and meet FFA members who were just a passionate about the FFA as they were.
Throughout the week students were involved in conference sessions that discussed being a leader in their community and serving those around them. They also had the opportunity to tour many monuments, Arlington National Cemetery, museums and the Capitol.
