LIVE OAK, Fla. — Suwannee High graduate Jimmie Taylor III is set to embark on a professional basketball career.

Taylor, who graduated from SHS in 2013, left Monday and will play in the Croatian Basketball League.

“Getting to start my professional career is very humbling,” said Taylor. “I always wanted to keep playing basketball after college.

“It’s a beautiful place and a good opportunity.”

Taylor was signed by Vrijednosnice Osijek, a professional team in Osijek, Croatia.

The 6-foot-4 guard played four seasons at Rider University in New Jersey. He averaged 15.5 points per game in his senior season.
